The Kansas City Royals Partner with 8x8 to Improve Business and Fan Communications

8x8 Also Signs Multi-Year Sponsorship Agreement to Broaden National Awareness

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- 8x8, Inc. (NYSE: EGHT), a leading integrated cloud communications platform, today announced The Kansas City Royals Major League Baseball (MLB) team has selected 8x8 as their official cloud communications and contact center partner to help improve employee, partner, and customer experience. In addition, 8x8 has signed a multi-year sponsorship of the Royals. The Kansas City Royals play at least 81 home games each season, which are broadcast on radio and television locally, regionally, and/or nationally as well as streamed on MLB.TV, ensuring exposure that will broaden 8x8’s brand awareness to a national audience.

The Kansas City Royals recognized the opportunity to modernize and transform employee and fan experiences could only be achieved by moving away from its legacy, on-premises communications and contact center systems to a single, cloud platform. Working closely with technology partner System Target, the Royals selected the 8x8 X Series cloud voice, video, chat and contact center solution for its more than 500 points of communications throughout the organization, including stadium concessions and contact center agents, in order to gain a 360° view of fan engagement, enhance employee and agent efficiency, and deliver an exceptional fan experience.
